PS4 Firmware Update 8.00 Adds New PS5 Characteristics, But Breaks Friend Lists
The new firmware are also removing some features by the PS4, since you’ll no more be able to make Events or access present Events generated by other users after it’s been installed. The capacity to make private communities under the Community app on PS4 has been removed, although users who currently have such classes will still have the ability to access them.

After the upgrade, message and party functions will be connected together more closely, and you are going to be able to use the same groups of gamers for celebration voice chats and message exchanges, rather than having different groups set up across the 2 apps. This will also be a cross-gen feature, as you will be able to send messages into PS4 groups even when you are on PS5.
The last big addition is the option to connect to PS5 consoles using the Remote Play App on mobile phones and PC, ahead of the console’s launching on November 12.
There have been some reports though that the new upgrade has made it more difficult to get Friends lists, with many users reporting Error WS-44369-6 messages when trying to do so.
